This is the newly redesigned IBIS Electrc Kettle. Earlier models of this kettle featured a 1500 watt heating element that came in direct contact with the water. The newly designed IBIS features a stainless steel heating element which is integrated within the body of the kettle to avoid any contact and interference with the water during the boiling process. This cordless yet compact kettle sits on an electric base and boils up to 1.7l, 57 oz. of water for coffee, tea, instant soups and more in just four minutes. Additionally, a see-through, easy-to-read water level indicator shows the user how much water remains in the IBIS. The IBIS will automatically cut off power once the water is boiled or if the kettle is empty. This off-white IBIS kettle is made from BPA-free plastic.

The Bodum® Ibis water kettle boils 50 oz of water in about 4 minutes using a 1500 watt power heating element directly in contact with the water. With its oval shape, this handy cordless kettle is designed to have a permanent place at the kitchen counter using a minimum of space. Made of a heat-reinforced polypropylene plastic and a stainless steel heating element, it is an indispensable and practical everyday tool for cooking when a fast boil is needed. The easy to read water level indicator shows in ounces and liters the amount ready to boil. Whether it's 10 oz or 50 oz, the Bodum kettle will automatically cut off power after the water boils a short while.
